The Edwards MBA assesses applicants on a composite basis for admission purposes. We look at a variety of factors when making admission decisions including undergraduate degree, grade point average, work experience, GMAT score, personal interview and reference letters.

Academic Requirements
A strong academic record demonstrates an applicants potential to succeed in the Edwards MBA program.
All applicants wishing to enter the program are required to write a GMAT exam. GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a standardized test for measuring aptitude to succeed academically in graduate business studies. A Minimum score of 500 is required. This test can be written at major centres throughout the world. For information on test centre locations, the nature of the exam, and scoring procedures, please visit the GMAT website. GMAT scores are valid for five years from the date the test is taken.
Applicants Do Not Need to Have a Business Degree! Applicants must have a four-year honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognized university. An official transcript of your academic record is to be sent directly from each institution attended. Transcripts from the University of Saskatchewan do not need to be sent, but are required from all other institutions. From countries where degree certificates are issued, they must also be sent. Appllicants must have a cumulative weighted average of at least 70% in the last two years of study (i.e. 60 credit units) Visit Countries and Qualifications for a listing of countries and the equivalent academic requirements.
Our Edwards MBA students come from a wide variety of educational and cultural backgrounds. However, to ensure that applicants have the neccessary business skills for the program, the following Pre-requisite courses are required:
- Introductory Financial Accounting
- Introductory Statistics
- Introductory Macroeconomics
- Introductory Microeconomics

Three confidential letters of recommendation, from professors or others acquainted sufficiently with your training and experience to express an opinion on your ability to undertake graduate training. Two of these must be academic references and one professional. These recommendations must be sent directly from each referee, using the following form: GSR 101 - Confidential Letter of Recommendation Forms. A personal letter from the reference may also accompany the form.
Work Experience
The Edwards MBA does not have work experience requirement. If you have work experience it will be considered. However for applicants wishing to enter the program straight out of their undergraduate degree's, greater emphasis will be placed on your academic components
Applicants are required to submit a current Resume detailing positions held and a description of their responsibilities. As well, a letter of intent describing future career plans related to achieving an Edwards MBA is also required. Your letter should be 1-1.5 pages in length. Please no longer than 2 pages.
Proof of English Proficiency
Applicants whose first language is not English, must provide proof of proficiency in English Please request that the testing centres send your scores directly to our institution.
