An exciting opportunity has recently become available for an Information Analyst in our Card Services department.
Reporting to the Senior Strategy Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting all MasterCard departments in the creation, use and interpretation of management and progress reports. Responsible to assist in the maintenance of various data management systems. The primary focus is to work MasterCard Card Strategy team and key stakeholders in developing timely reporting for sales management, operational improvement and risk management activities. The Information Analyst provides weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting to MasterCard departments through the use of Loan Centre, FDR, Insight, Crystal Reporting, Excel, SAS and SQL. An additional focus of the Information Analyst is, to provide assistance to users to ensure that reports are correctly interpreted and universally understood. This is accomplished through direct communication to clarify understanding and/or to provide additional details using insight.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Demonstrate a complete understanding of the content and interpretation of all MasterCard reports in order to answer queries and educate users on report data.
· Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the reporting capabilities of FDR.
· Produce regular and ad-hoc reports on campaign profitability and product profitability.
· Investigate and address specific inquiries from Branches and Regions concerning reported MasterCard performance information.
· Demonstrate in-depth understanding of systems used to produce ad-hoc reports including, Loan Centre, FDR, Insight, Harte Hanks, Crystal Reports, Access, SAS and SQL.
· Produce MIS reporting as directed.
· Exporting information from the databases into various packages to produce further useful analysis on trends/patterns regarding customer behavior. This will include analyzing both internal and externally provided data.
· Ensure compliance and privacy guidelines are strictly adhered to.
As the ideal candidate you possess:
· Excellent PC skills including strong working knowledge of SAS, Access, Word, Excel, E-mail and Internet are definite requirements.
· Experience programming with Crystal reports and MS Visual Basic are assets.
· Proven ability to be detail oriented, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills is a must.
· Prioritization, time management and multi-tasking skills are crucial.
· Enjoys the challenge of working with many "internal clients" to meet their needs
· Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality and meet time sensitive deadlines is a requirement
· Ability to work independently with minimum supervision is required
· Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
· Enthusiasm and ability to meet the challenges of working in changing environment.
· Previous experience (minimum 1 year) in developing and maintaining management reports.
· Higher education from a recognized, accredited facility in Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics, MIS, and similar areas.
· Strong computer skills
