Biography

Regan Schmidt joined the University of Saskatchewan in 2009.  Regan practiced public accounting in western Canada prior to pursuing doctoral studies at Queen's University, and is in the process of completing his dissertation research.  His research interests are primarily focused on auditor and client management judgment and decision making, and his research has been nationally recognized by the Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB) for its potential to improve audit quality.  Regan's research has been published in journals such as Behavioral Research in Accounting (forthcoming), and Accounting Perspectives (forthcoming).  His teaching interests include audit, assurance, and corporate governance.
