Biography

Sanj is an assistant professor of entrepreneurship, innovation and technology commercialization in the Department of Management & Marketing at the Edwards School of Business.  His doctoral research (PhD-University of Surrey, United Kingdom) area focuses on "The Development and Growth of New Technology Based Firms".  This research looks at the integration of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship and the process of value creation within high technology based firms.

Sanj has provided strategic consulting and management services to life science and advanced technology companies.  He is currently working with several companies and assisting them to commercialize their technologies. Sanj is very active within the University, local organizations, serving on the Innovation and Cultural Contributions Committee for the Second Integrated Planning, Co-Chair of the Saskatoon Chamber's Science Committee and participates and presents at various local and international conferences.

Some of the notable organizations where he has provided strategic counsel are Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority, VIDO/InterVac and the Saskatoon Health Region.

Sanj is also a professional associate with the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy and teaches in their Masters of International Trade program.

Sanj has over 20 years of industry experience having started a number of technology based firms.  He has an MBA in Biotechnology Management and his academic and professional career includes finance, marketing, and high technology entrepreneurship.
