Summary:
The primary role is to develop and delivery on procurement
options for external services required by the Operations. Responsibilities
include minimizing commerical risk, enhancing competitive advantage, meeting
customer expectations and specifications as well as meeting AltaLink's policies
and practices.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage vendor relationships.
Develop and maintain vendor management database.
Execute supply chain management process
including:
Vendor management
Negotiating
Strategic sourcing
Preparing proposals (i.e. RFQ's, RFP's, etc.) and analyzing
submissions
Challenging specifications when appropriate to leverage
market conditions
Purchasing
Data Analysis
Transportation
Contract administration
Analyzing and reporting on procurement market
trends
Pricing data quality
Qualifications
University graduate
5 years of direct or related experience in supply
chain management and procurement of materials
PMAC level III or other related training
Good knowledge of SAP MM and PC Windows environment
including Word and Excel
Analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with transmission vendors is an
asset
Proficiency in written and oral communication
skills
Able to work independently in a team environment and
maintain confidentiality
